RISO WORKSHOPS: February 2025 Session
What will we do? Learn about RISO printing in a small group (3 people max) in person session! I’ll walk the group through how RISO printing works and talk about the mechanics of the machine itself. Then we’ll do a deep dive into my process of taking a print idea from sketch to finished illustration to getting files print ready. We’ll go over the format and process for prepping your own work for your class mini-print. We’ll check out some other prints and color charts, paying particular attention to the three colors you’ll be using in your mini-print. I’ll also share some of my favorite artists working in this space!
When and how do I get my mini print? You’ll be sending me a three color separation after the session (due date TBD) using the colors specified in class. I’ll print everyones work on one sheet, and then trim them to their individual mini size. That way, everyone gets a copy of each persons work. Hooray! If you get stuck after the class, don’t worry, I’m here to help.
Did you say goodie bags? Yeah! The day of the workshop you’ll go home with two mini prints made by me, a color chart, 2 stickers and a pdf of tips and resources.
How much does it cost and how do I pay you? Each workshop is $125. The fee goes toward supply costs, class time and print labor. Payment is due the day you get your confirmation email from me.
Time/Location: Workshops are held at my studio space in Pawtucket, RI. February’s workshop will be hosted on Sunday, 2.23 from 9:30am-12:30pm. Each workshop is approximately 3 hours long.
Wait, how many people will be in each workshop? 3 (plus me!). You’ll have lots of time for questions and one on one feedback.
How do I reserve my spot? Fill out the form below! Once I hear from you I’ll confirm your registration, you pay the class fee via Venmo and you’re all set!
What’s the best Halloween candy? Sour Patch kids or Peanut M&M’s, IMHO.
